Cheri Nelsen, County Extension Agent, Agriculture, 4-H & Youth
Connie Vail, Office Professional
I have worked in the Extension office since September of 1991. I enjoy my job as it is always challenging and everyday is different. My favorite part of the job is working with the youth and their families in the 4-H program. I am a 29 year 4-H project leader as well. I also enjoy working with the farm families and Women's Educational Clubs in our county.
My husband Larry and I live in Neodesha. We have been married 37 years. He has been a painter for GBW Rail for 35 years. We have 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren and 3 step great grandchildren.
In my spare time I serve on the Wilson County Old Iron Club board, am a member of the Lace Makers Guild of Oklahoma & International Organization of Lacemakers and I like to attend Circular Sock Knitting Machine Conferences. My hobbies include knitting socks on my antique sock knitter, crochet, cross stitching, bobbin lace, tatting, crafting, sewing, cooking and just spending time with my husband and family.
