Wilson County was named after an early settler, Hiero T. Wilson. The county is 573.81 square miles located in the Southeast corner of the state. The population of Wilson County is approximately 10,000.
Towns include: Altoona, Benedict, Buffalo, Coyville, Fredonia, Neodesha and New Albany. The county seat is Fredonia.

The Wilson County Extension Office is located in the basement of the Courthouse, Room 1 in Fredonia.
Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
